1. By Flight (Fastest & Easiest Option)
Direct Flights from Delhi to Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport or Don Mueang Airport) take around 4 to 5 hours. Airlines like Thai Airways, IndiGo, AirAsia, VietJet, and SpiceJet offer daily services. Round-trip flight fares usually range between ₹15,000 to ₹30,000, depending on the season and booking time.
2. Entry Airports in Thailand
3. Visa Process
Indian passport holders can get a Visa on Arrival in Thailand for 15 days, or apply online before departure. You need a valid passport, hotel booking, return flight ticket, and sufficient funds (about ₹5,000 per day stay).
4. Other Routes (Not Recommended)
There are no trains or buses from India to Thailand. Road travel is possible via India–Myanmar–Thailand Highway, but it needs special permits, is time-consuming, and not suitable for regular tourists.
In short, the most comfortable and budget-friendly way to reach Thailand from New Delhi is by taking a direct flight to Bangkok, which saves time and keeps your travel easy.
The best time to visit Thailand from Delhi depends on the weather, your travel preferences, and the activities you plan to do. Generally, November to February is considered the ideal time to visit Thailand.
1. November to February (Cool and Dry Season)
Weather: This is the coolest and most pleasant season in Thailand. Temperatures range from 23°C to 30°C, with low humidity and little to no rainfall.
Why Visit?: This is the perfect time for beaches, sightseeing, and outdoor activities. You can enjoy water sports in Pattaya and Phuket, visit temples, and explore markets without the discomfort of hot weather.
Best For: Beach lovers, outdoor explorers, honeymooners, and those looking for festivals like Songkran (Thai New Year) in April.
2. April to June (Hot Season)
Weather: Thailand experiences high temperatures during this time, reaching 35°C to 40°C. The heat can be intense, especially in the cities like Bangkok and Pattaya.
Why Visit?: While it’s hot, this is the season of the Songkran Festival in April, which is a fun-filled water festival celebrated across the country. If you love vibrant festivals and don’t mind the heat, this is a great time to visit.
Best For: Festival enthusiasts who enjoy the fun and excitement of Songkran.
3. July to October (Rainy Season)
Weather: This is the monsoon season, with heavy rains and high humidity. The temperatures stay around 30°C, but the frequent rain can disrupt outdoor plans.
Why Visit?: While this is the least popular time due to the rain, you’ll find fewer tourists and cheaper accommodation. The rain usually comes in short bursts, so you can still explore the indoor attractions.
