History of Benchakitti Park
Benchakitti Park was officially opened in the year 2004 on land that was owned by the Tobacco Authority of Thailand. Specifically, it was established in honor of Queen Sirikit’s 72nd birthday. Furthermore, the Queen herself gave it the name Benchakitti. Originally developed from a tobacco pond, the park now features a large lake, cycling paths, and an exercise area. It also has the rental services for boats and bicycles.
