ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Long Haul Holiday Sales Expert, you are the primary revenue driver for our Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and CIS portfolio. You will manage the complete lifecycle of high-value itineraries across Group Tours, FIT Holidays, Customized Packages, and Luxury Experiences. Revenue ownership is a core and non-negotiable part of this role. You will carry personal monthly and quarterly revenue targets and be held fully accountable for your pipeline, conversion rates, and margin contribution.

You are a destination specialist who understands the unique appeal and complexity of long-haul travel. Whether designing a 14-day Japan cherry blossom itinerary, navigating the visa requirements for Australia, or crafting a bespoke CIS cultural tour through Georgia and Uzbekistan, your expertise builds client confidence and closes premium deals. Deliverables and productivity expectations are measured closely at Trip Factory. Performance accountability is embedded in our culture and every team member is expected to understand their commercial contribution and grow it consistently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Sales and Conversion (Revenue Ownership): Handle inbound and outbound holiday sales queries for Long Haul, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and CIS destinations. Sell Group Tours, FIT Holidays, Customised Packages, Honeymoon Packages, and Luxury Tours. Convert leads into bookings through consultative selling, consistently achieving monthly revenue and conversion targets.
  2. Destination Expertise and Itinerary Design: Leverage deep knowledge of Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Hokkaido), Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Queensland, Perth), New Zealand, and CIS countries (Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan). Design flawless, detailed itineraries tailored to customer requirements. Guide clients on Japan Rail Passes, Australian visa pathways, and the best seasonal travel windows for each destination.
  3. Customer Handling and Visa Guidance: Act as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey. Provide end-to-end guidance on Japan, Australian, New Zealand, and CIS visa processes, travel insurance, and documentation requirements. Build strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and high satisfaction scores.
  4. Coordination and Operational Delivery: Work seamlessly with product, operations, and contracting teams. Coordinate with DMCs, suppliers, and hotels across long-haul markets to ensure flawless holiday delivery. Manage last-minute changes and complex customer escalations with a customer-first mindset and zero-error accountability.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in outbound holiday sales, specifically handling Long Haul, Japan, Australia, or CIS Group Departures, FIT, and Customised Holidays.
  • Destination Knowledge: Strong destination knowledge across Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and CIS markets. Candidates who have personally travelled to or extensively handled operations for these destinations will be given strong preference.
  • Sales and Visa Expertise: Excellent sales closing ability with a proven track record. Deep understanding of Japan, Australian, New Zealand, and CIS visa processes and strong itinerary-building skills.
  • Language Requirements: Fluent in English and Hindi. Additional regional language expertise (Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi) is highly preferred for handling South and West India customers.
  • Education: Graduate in any discipline. Travel and Tourism certification is preferred.
  • Revenue Track Record: Candidates must be able to clearly articulate their own conversion rates, average booking values, and revenue contribution from previous roles. A strong commercial track record is essential.
