ROLE PURPOSE
This role exists to ensure the financial integrity, accuracy, and compliance of accounting operations across Group enabling reliable reporting and informed decision-making. By maintaining strong controls, performing detailed analyses, and supporting intercompany coordination, it helps optimize financial performance and operational efficiency. Ultimately, it contributes to Trip Factory’s goals by providing clear financial visibility and supporting scalable, well-governed growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Financial Accounting, Reporting & Finalization, MIS
    • Book Closing: Lead timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual book closing.
    • Financial Statements: Prepare statutory, management, and consolidated financial statements in accordance with Local AS such as Europe, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Middle East etc, IFRS, or local GAAP.
    • Review & Accuracy: Conduct final reviews of all DMC Books of Accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial records.
    • Consistency: Maintain and enforce consistent accounting policies across different markets and entities.
    • MIS: Timely reporting of MIS for every month/quarter/halfyearly/yearly.
  2. Operational Accounting & Regulating
    • Banking & Reconciliations: Verify daily updates of bank entries across multiple currencies and execute rigorous Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
    • Accounts Receivable: Verify accounts receivable entries accurately, manage receipt tagging, and clear pending/suspense receipts.
    • Revenue Management: Oversee Sale Invoice preparation for various services, including commissions (Air Tickets, Flights, Hotels, Insurance, Visa), cash back invoices, and payment gateway charges.
    • Accounts Payable & Expenses: Verify payables for expenses for Trip and Non- Trip related, perform ageing as well as reconciliation, Prepaid and accruals etc.
    • Payroll: Verify salary entries and perform ledger reconciliations to ensure compliance.
  3. Financial Control, Governance & Risk Management
    • Internal Controls: Design, implement, and monitor internal financial controls (IFC) in consultation with the Group Finance Controller (GFC).
    • Audit Readiness: Maintain constant audit readiness for statutory, internal, tax, and special audits, addressing any observations with effective corrective action plans.
    • Compliance: * Ensure adherence to tax  regulations (VAT,GST, WHT, Corporate Tax/Income Tax, Transfer Pricing) as well as local regulations for payroll and other operational areas such as FEMA and cross border transactions Preparation, Verification as well as submission of data required for Audit/Assessment in accordance with various authorities.
  4. Intercompany & Group Operations
    • Reconciliations: Execute group-level intercompany reconciliations and prepare intercompany balance reports.
    • Transaction Verification: Verify the accuracy of intercompany supplier payouts and accounting entries.
    • Payment Management: Supervise and process monthly intercompany payments.
  5. Financial Planning, Analysis & Data Integrity
    • Variance Analysis: Prepare monthly overhead reports and conduct variance analysis to explain deviations from budgets.
    • Asset & Ledger Review: Maintain Fixed Asset Registers (FAR), prepaid accounts, and advance accounts; examine ledgers for accuracy.
    • Data Management: Organize and maintain a common accounting folder for all DMCs to ensure data integrity.
    • Reporting: Provide data-driven reports and insights for internal management meetings and decision-making.
  6. Systems, Automation & Leadership
    • ERP Enhancement: Collaborate with the GFC to develop the integrity of financial data within the ERP and support accounting-related automation projects.
    • SOP Development: Prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support business scaling.
    • Team Leadership: Build and train a high-performing accounting team, fostering coordination with external consultants and the DMC F&A team.


KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS)

  • Close Timeliness: monthly/quarterly/year-end books closed within defined timelines
  • Financial Accuracy: financial reports with zero material errors or audit adjustments
  • Reconciliation Completion: bank, intercompany, and ledger reconciliations completed on time
  • Compliance Adherence: statutory filings and tax compliances completed without delays or penalties
  • Intercompany Accuracy: intercompany balances matched without discrepancies
  • Process Efficiency: Reduction in manual effort through automation and improved SOP adherence


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
