During this time the temperature is comfortable which is great for walking.

Day 1: Arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport and Transfer to Gangtok

After reaching New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport, our representative will receive you from the outside of New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB). He will help you to transfer to Gangtok Hotel–the capital of Sikkim and the most visited spot in India. You can say it is a place of Rhododendron, Orchids, and butterflies.

It’s a 4 ½ - 5 hours drive to reach Gangtok from Bagdogra and NJP railway stations. After checking in at the 4-star hotel, freshen up and relax in the hotel room. In the evening, free to roam around M G Road (Mall) the crowded area of Sikkim, or the local Shopping center - For a night stay at Gangtok Hotel

Day 2: Full day Excursion tour to Tshangu Lake & Baba Mandir Day Excursion

After a heavy breakfast at the hotel, you have to start the Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (New) which is situated nearly 40 kilometers from Gangtok. The Lake is oval-shaped and approx 50 feet deep. It is surrounded by mountains which are covered with snow for most of the year. In the spring or summer season, you may find the Brahmin ducks & many migratory birds in the lake.

The next trip is the sacred Baba Mandir, 16 km away from Tsomgo Lake. The serine is dedicated to the major Harbhajan Singh. It is a holy site for locals. There is also an optional tour to NathuLa Pass, the Indo-China border. Back to Gangtok in the evening. After that, free to roam around M G Road (Mall) and enjoy the local cuisine and tea - overnight stay at the luxurious accommodation of Gangtok

Day 3: Gangtok to Lachen

After breakfast, pick up from the hotel and drive to Lachen (130 km / 6 hours) at an elevation of 9000 feet. Take a pause along the trip to see and visit some magnificent places, such as Tashi Viewpoint and Seven Sisters Waterfall (subject to vehicles traveling the standard path; there is no detour). You are most likely to arrive at Lachen late in the afternoon or evening. Upon arriving at Lachen, check into your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Lachen.
Documents Required: 02 passport-sized photos, together with a photocopy of photo ID proof (passport, driver's license, or voter ID; Pan Card and Aadhar Card are not allowed). For children under the age of 18, a school or college ID is required. Original must be carried with oneself.

Day 4: Lachen - Chopta Valley - Gurudongmar Lake - Lachung

The day begins at 5 a.m. with a packed breakfast, followed by a scenic drive to Chopta Valley and Gurudonmgar Lake (17200 feet / 70 kilometers / 4-5 hours). This is a voyage that cannot be forgotten. The day begins early, at 5 a.m. It is nearly dark now. As you ascend, the early light rays offer a stunning picture of the snow peaks, which like mountains made of gold. The first leg of the journey from Lachen is to Thangu (13000 feet / 3963 meters, 30 kilometers / 02 to 2.5 hours from Lachen), which is a hard climb. The only stop is in Thangu, for stretching and acclimatization. You'll find a family kitchen here that can give you tea, bread, butter, and Maggi with direct payment. You get to sit around the clay stove and live the mountain life.

A further drive leads to the wild and desolate terrain of Chopta Valley (13500 feet / 4116 meters, 4 kilometers / 30 to 45 minutes from Thangu). Many travelers who are uncomfortable with altitude restrict their journey to Chopta Valley, which is close to Tibet. The valley is abundant in Alpine vegetation.
From here until Gurudongmar, the area is generally flat, with mountains and army bunkers on both sides. This is a high-altitude desert with little flora, rocky soil, and dust. Your car follows its own path, which is why it is so easy to go lost. Because it is a plateau, it is quite chilly and windy throughout the year. At this height, gasping for air is difficult, thus it is advised not to exert too much. Gurudongmar Lake freezes over throughout the winter, with the exception of one corner, which is regarded particularly holy. Aside from patrolling the border, Army Jawans are always willing to aid anyone in need.
Later, travel to Lachung (8000 feet / 2439 meters, 60 kilometers / 3-4 hours). Overnight stay at a hotel in Lachung.

Day 5: Lachung - Yumthang Valley Excursion – Gangtok

On that day, you have to proceed on a half-day excursion to Yumthang Valley. After breakfast and check out from Lachung Hotel, you will be taken to Yumthang Valley, covered with colorful Singba Rhododendrons. At an altitude of 11800 feet or 3598 meters above sea level, this valley is surrounded by snow-capped peaks that make it paradise on the lap of the Himalayas. You can find the hot springs, which are sacred to the locals. They believe that bathing in this holy water can cure many diseases. Proceed for return to Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok Hotel.

Day 6: Transfer from Gangtok to Pelling

After checking out from the hotel and having breakfast, you will be transferred to Pelling from Gangtok, a small and beautiful village in Sikkim. In the four-hour road journey, you will be driven to the road covered with green hills, a river, an immense forest, and a Huge Kanchan Jungha.

Then you will reach Pelling and check into luxurious hotels. Get refreshed and take a rest in your hotel room. In the evening, you can spend leisurely on your own exploring the monasteries to attend evening prayers. The unique factor of this village is that you can enjoy the majestic beauty of Kanchenjunga very closely from this small place. Overnight stay at the Hotel

Day 7: Pelling Full Day Sightseeing With Skywalk

In the morning you will have breakfast from 8 to 8.30 am and you will proceed for a full day of Pelling sightseeing tour which allows you to explore the beauty and mesmerizing view of the village. This tour covers the Pemayangtse Monastery, Chenrezig Statue & Skywalk. After your lunch, you can proceed to more tourist destinations such as Rimbi Waterfalls, Khecheopalri Lake (6000 Ft / 1829 Mts), Kanchenjunga Waterfalls, and Rabdentse Ruins. In the evening you can take a stroll in the surroundings of Pelling. Overnight stay at luxury accommodation of Pelling Hotel.

Day 8: Transfer to NJP Railway Station / (Ixb) Bagdogra Airport

On this day, you should return to NJP station or Bagdogra Airport after breakfast and check out from the hotel with lots of memories. You will be driven to the scenic beauty of the road which can be a good memory for a long time.

While traveling to Tshangu Lake, Nathula Pass, Baba Mandir customers should carry valid photo ID proof which can ONLY be one of Driving License, Voter Card or Valid Passport.
NRI, OCI, PIO Card holder & Foreign Nationals are not allowed to visit Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass. They are allowed to visit till Tshangu Lake, with a valid permit. They also have to be 2 years & above is number to visit Tshangu Lake.
Pan Card & Aadhar Card is not accepted as ID Proof to visit Nathula Pass, Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir. The Photo ID Proof can be anyone of the following, Driving License, Voter Card, Valid Passport.
Most of the 2 star and 3 star hotels provide only Mattress not Extra bed.
At times due to events which are beyond control (e.g. local strikes, natural calamities), schedules and itineraries may be subject to last minute changes.
Telephone / Internet networks are non-existent in some areas.
Due to poor road infrastructure in North-east, journey between 2 places may take longer than expected. Top speed may be restricted to 30 km/hr at some places.
NRI, OCI, PIO Card holder & Foreign Nationals will be allowed to visit Lachung, Yumthang & Yumesamdong, with a valid permit.
It is not advisable to visit Lachen from 1st January till 15th March as roads are closed due to snow.
Cars is not at disposal and will be only available for point to point transfers as per itinerary
Driving in hilly areas which are different from normal driving, speed limit would be 30 kms per hour.
Vehicles in Hill Areas – Even if you opt for AC vehicle, in hill stations AC is non-operational to avoid damage or mid-trip break down of the vehicle for your own convenience. Also, in several hill areas, commercial vehicles are not allowed to play music to prevent accidents
All entrance tickets to Museums , Monastries, Gardens, or any other Sightseeing spots are to be borne by the Customer and paid directly at the destination.
At the time of check-in to your hotel, hotel may ask you to make an advance/security deposit (amount depends upon hotel policy). This amount is refunded at the time of check-out, minus the cost of any items taken from the mini-bar or other charges (like late check-out or any damages done to the accommodation).
Any ticket to attractions, museums, train, cable car, ferries, rides, safari, etc. are not included unless explicitly mentioned as an inclusion.
