With us you explore Gangtok, the vibrant capital city of Sikkim for 3 nights, immersing yourself in the rich culture, stunning scenery, and local markets. With this tour package of ours, you will get to explore the charming villages of Lachen and Lachung for 1 night. Discover yourself in the wonderful landscape here. Day 1: Arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport and Transfer to Gangtok

After arriving at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport in the morning, you are transferred to the Gangtok by our executive. You don't have to face taxi drivers, tourists, and travel agents chaos. Then you will reach Gangtok in a luxurious vehicle while enjoying the incredible natural beauty of the road.

It takes around 4 hours to reach Gangtok from Bagdogra and NJP railway stations. After taking some rest at a luxurious hotel, spend leisurely at MG Road. It is an ideal place for an aimless stroll in Gangtok. Don't forget to taste some local delicacies during this time such as momos (steamed dumplings) and thukpa (a hearty noodle soup). Day 2: Tshangu Lake & Baba Mandir Day Excursion

In the early morning around 8 to 8.30 am, after a delicious breakfast, you will depart for Tshangu Lake & Baba Mandir by a luxurious car. These two places are considered the best tourist attraction in Sikkim. Located at 12,210ft/3780 Mt feet above sea level and a distance of 43Kms from Gangtok, the mesmerizing oval-shaped Lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Most tourists also enjoy the snow on the mountain behind the lake. It can be a great memory that stays in your mind for a long time. If you visit the lake in the winter season, you must enjoy the view of a frozen lake.

The next attraction is New Baba Mandir, located at an altitude of 13100Ft/3994 mts and 16Kms away from Tshangu Lake. It is a popular shrine dedicated to Major Harbhajan Mann for whom there are many miraculous stories. It is said that his disembodied spirit is still guarding the border between India and China. That's why people worship him. After spending some time here you have to leave for Gangtok again from that place. On the way do not forget to visit Ganesh Talk. It is the highest point in Gangtok from where the evening view of Gangtok city is spectacular.

The evening you can spend on MG road and doing some shopping for your dearest one. Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 3: Gangtok Full Day Tour

After a heavy and delicious breakfast at the hotel of Gangtok, you will proceed to Gangtok's surrounding site-seeing tours including Tashi View Point, Hanuman Tok, Ganesh Tok, Bakthang Falls, Do-Dul Chorten, Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, Flower Show and Enchey Monastery. Return to hotel.

After lunch, visit Hanuman Tok and Ganesh Tok which are the highest towers of Gangtok from where the evening capital city looks mesmerizing. After freshening up you can spend the evening at MG Marg and do some shopping. MG Marg and Lal market are such areas where you can find everything. Overnight stay at Gangtok 4-star accommodation which ensures a peaceful night stay.

Remember the Research Institute of Tibetology, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom Flower Show are closed on Saturday &Sunday and Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays. So you should visit

Day 4: Gangtok to Lachen

After breakfast early in the morning, you will depart for Lachen, a beautiful village in north Sikkim which is 130 Kms or 06 hours away from Gangtok. It is situated at an altitude of 9000 ft. It is a long journey. You can visit Tashi View Point and Seven sister’s Waterfalls on the way to Lachen. You have to take some food and tea on this spot. You will probably reach Lachen in the late afternoon or evening. After arriving check in at our 3-star hotel. Dinner will be served there and overnight at the hotel.

To reach Lachen you need to make a permit for which you need the documents mentioned below:

Day 5: Lachen - Chopta Valley - Gurdongmar Lake – Lachung

The day will start with a scenic drive to Chopta Valley and Gurudonmagar Lake (17200 ft / 70 km / 4-5 hrs). The trip will be an unforgettable memory. The journey will start almost dark at 5 pm. As you go higher and closer to the valley, you can enjoy the mesmerizing view of Golden Mountain. The sun's rays will spread over the snow peaks and make it golden. At a distance of 02 to 2.5 hours from Lachen, you may take the first stop at Tshangu 13000 Ft or 3963 Mts from sea level. Here enjoy tea, bread butter, and maggi in your family kitchen. You can experience the mountain lifestyle by sitting around the clay oven in the cold.

After another 4 Kms or 30 to 45 minutes drive from the place, reach the virgin and uninhabited land of Chopta Valley situated at an altitude of 13500 Ft / 4116 Mts. This entire valley is covered with alpine vegetation.

From this place to Gurdongmar, almost the entire area is covered with army bunkers. It can be said to be a high desert where there is hardly any vegetation and all the terrain is rocky and dusty. The region is famous for its very cold and windy weather throughout the year. Advice is, since breathing here is a bit difficult, don't overexert yourself unnecessarily. In winter, the Gurdongmar lake is completely frozen which is very sacred to the local people. After spending some time at the lake, you will be transferred to Lachung (8000 ft / 2439 mts, 60 kms/ 3-4 hrs). Overnight stay at a hotel in Lachung

Day 6: Transfer to NJP Railway station/ Bagdogra airport

After breakfast and checking out from your Gangtok hotel, you have to return to NJP station or Bagdogra Airport with lots of memories. On the way, you will be greeted by a lush green tea garden, snow-covered Kanchan, jungles, mountains, rivers, and forests

Vehicle as mentioned in the booking will be provided. Extra charges will be applicable if additional vehicle or upgraded vehicle is required due to travellers carrying extra or oversized luggage.
While traveling to Tshangu Lake, Nathula Pass, Baba Mandir customers should carry valid photo ID proof which can ONLY be one of Driving License, Voter Card or Valid Passport.
NRI, OCI, PIO Card holder & Foreign Nationals are not allowed to visit Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass. They are allowed to visit till Tshangu Lake, with a valid permit. They also have to be 2 years & above is number to visit Tshangu Lake.
Pan Card & Aadhar Card is not accepted as ID Proof to visit Nathula Pass, Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir. The Photo ID Proof can be anyone of the following, Driving License, Voter Card, Valid Passport.
Most of the 2 star and 3 star hotels provide only Mattress not Extra bed.
At times due to events which are beyond control (e.g. local strikes, natural calamities), schedules and itineraries may be subject to last minute changes.
Telephone / Internet networks are non-existent in some areas.
Due to poor road infrastructure in North-east, journey between 2 places may take longer than expected. Top speed may be restricted to 30 km/hr at some places.
NRI, OCI, PIO Card holder & Foreign Nationals will be allowed to visit Lachung, Yumthang & Yumesamdong, with a valid permit.
It is not advisable to visit Lachen from 1st January till 15th March as roads are closed due to snow.
Cars is not at disposal and will be only available for point to point transfers as per itinerary
Driving in hilly areas which are different from normal driving, speed limit would be 30 kms per hour.
Vehicles in Hill Areas – Even if you opt for AC vehicle, in hill stations AC is non-operational to avoid damage or mid-trip break down of the vehicle for your own convenience. Also, in several hill areas, commercial vehicles are not allowed to play music to prevent accidents
All entrance tickets to Museums , Monastries, Gardens, or any other Sightseeing spots are to be borne by the Customer and paid directly at the destination.
At the time of check-in to your hotel, hotel may ask you to make an advance/security deposit (amount depends upon hotel policy). This amount is refunded at the time of check-out, minus the cost of any items taken from the mini-bar or other charges (like late check-out or any damages done to the accommodation).
Any ticket to attractions, museums, train, cable car, ferries, rides, safari, etc. are not included unless explicitly mentioned as an inclusion.
