Noida International Airport will officially begin passenger flights on April 17, 2024.
Test flights by Akasa, Indigo, and Airports Authority of India are scheduled for November 30, 2023, to start commercial flight trials.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will finalize the number and destinations for domestic flights by mid-October.
Yamuna International Airport Pvt. Ltd. has applied to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for international flight operations.
Ticket bookings for international flights will begin in January or February 2024, while domestic bookings will open 1-2 months before the airport’s launch.
The airport is equipped with CAT 1 and 3 systems, allowing flights to operate even in low visibility conditions.
Trial flights for aircraft, including Airbus 319, 320, and 321, will take place on November 30, 2023, to assess runway performance.
Based on successful trials, an operational license application will be submitted in December, with the DGCA expected to issue it within 60 days.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) will officially announce the airport’s launch on February 6, 2024.
The first international flights are expected to operate to popular destinations like Dubai and Singapore.
