Severe Weather Affects Sikkim Travel, Lachung Entry Halted

As for the Chungthang to Lachung route, there are several difficulties in the Maltin and BOP regions as a result of the unfavorable weather brought on by Cyclone Remal.

This landslide has blocked the capital of Sikkim, Gangtok-Mangan route via the Tashi viewpoint.

The BO Barapathing, the Project Engineer from NHIDCL, the Project Manager (Contractors NHIDCL), and the Assistant Engineer from PHED Pakyong were among the important individuals present during the visit.

With their unique knowledge and perspectives, each team member helped to provide a thorough analysis of the circumstances.

The steps taken to reroute rainwater runoff to the Richu source of the Pakyong Water Supply were found to need to be improved upon assessment of the Dhungelkharka region. More aggressive measures were obviously required to guarantee Pakyong’s citizens a steady and dependable water supply.
