On October 3, a meeting led by Dr. Arunvir Singh, CEO of Noida International Airport Ltd., was held with officials from aviation authorities. The meeting focused on finalizing approvals and setting the timeline for commercial services and trials.
The airport is equipped with CAT 1 and 3 systems, which will help planes land and take off even in low visibility. The instrument landing system will be calibrated between October 4 and 6, with certification expected by mid-October.
By November 15, the developer will apply to the DGCA for flight testing, and trial permissions should be in place by November 25. Aircraft such as the Airbus 319, 320, and 321 will take part in trial landings on November 30. If all goes well, the airport will apply for its operating license in December, and the DGCA is expected to grant the license within 60 days.
On February 6, 2024, IATA will release global information about the airport’s launch. Ticket sales for international flights will start around January or February, while domestic flight bookings will open one to two months in advance.
