Dubai has introduced significant updates to its visa regulations for tourists, with mandatory hotel booking documents and return tickets now required for obtaining a tourist visa. These changes, issued by the Dubai Immigration Department, aim to streamline the visa process and bolster tourism ties between the UAE and India, one of its largest tourist markets.

Mandatory Requirements for Tourist Visas

Travel agencies applying for Dubai tourist visas must now upload:

  • Hotel booking documents with a QR code.
  • A copy of the return ticket.

Failure to provide these documents may result in delays in visa processing. This rule, already in effect for travelers from Pakistan and certain African nations, now applies to Indian passport holders as well. Additionally, applicants must show proof of funds on their credit/debit cards—5,000 AED for a two-month visa and 3,000 AED for a three-month visa.

  • Wait for visa issuance, which typically takes 30 minutes to three hours.
